1. In the process of handling ductile iron manhole covers, damage should be avoided.
2. The manhole cover needs to face up. If the reverse side is up, the load-bearing capacity of the manhole cover is very low and it is easy to be crushed. Reserve expansion joints. If the ductile manhole cover or rain grate is used without a frame, expansion joints must be reserved for the product (the total joint width is generally 3-5mm). When installing the well cover on the asphalt pavement, attention should be paid to the direct rolling of the well seat by the road construction machinery. When pouring the entire pavement, a hole slightly larger than the well seat should be reserved on the pavement, and the hole should be placed after asphalt is laid. Ensure the resettlement quality of manhole cover and prolong its service life.
3. The shaft needs to be strong. If the shaft is not firm, it may cause the overall sinking of the shaft or the poor combination of the shaft and the surrounding roads, resulting in "chaotic circles". The well frame needs to be fixed firmly, and concrete needs to be poured at the bottom and surrounding of the well frame. The width of the concrete on the four sides of the well frame is not less than 200 mm, and the concrete at the bottom of the well frame is not less than 150 mm.
4. The height of the surface of the manhole cover is consistent with the height of the surrounding ground. Concrete above C20 should be poured first, and the well frame should be firmly fixed before laying asphalt. If the well cover and well frame are simply placed or fixed in the wellbore, the well frame is easily crushed.
